Member of the Board of Directors
Girls on the Run of Hamilton County (GOTRHC) seeks individuals with a passion for improving the lives of pre-teen girls to serve on our Board of Directors. Girls on the Run Hamilton County prepares girls for lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. We will review board applications on a quarterly basis.
The board will be responsible for advising, guiding, governing, and promoting GOTRHC to support the organization’s mission and needs. Board terms are 2 years in length with the opportunity for renewal.
Major Responsibilities
- Organizational leadership and advisement
- Legal guidance and responsibility
- Financial management, including creation, adoption, and oversight of the annual budget
- Oversight of program planning and evaluation
- Formulation and oversight of policies and procedures
- Evaluation of the Executive Director
- Fundraising and outreach
- Promotion of the organization
Qualifications
- Passion for the Girls on the Run mission, vision and core values
- Ability to contribute time, talent and treasure to GOTRHC including in-person meetings, web-based communications, and volunteer hours in support of GOTR events
- Connections to the local community
- Experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Financial management and/or budgeting
- Strategic planning
- Fundraising
- Marketing
- Previous board leadership
